Born in 1967 in Livingston, New Jersey, John Stepanian is the Director of The New York Performing Arts Academy. He has been honored with numerous awards and accolades for his dedication to the arts and education. In 2017 he was awarded with The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award by the office of the President of the United States. He takes pride in getting to know each and every student attending the Academy, and help them in becoming full-ranging performing artists – as well as enriching their lives as individuals.
Over the span of over 30 years, John has had the opportunity to work alongside many entertainers the likes of Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Ray Barreto, Miki Howard, Bette Midler, Rosie O’Donnell, Diana Ross, Howard Stern and many more. He founded the NYPAA Scholarship program which to date has awarded over 1 million dollars in scholarships to The New York Performing Arts Academy around the world.
Many of John’s former students enjoy rewarding careers in the performing arts like Hudson Yang, star of the ABC hit show “Fresh Off The Boat” along with Jordan Vergara, star of the hit Broadway spectacular “On Your Feet”; others have appeared in various film and TV productions, including Netflix’s hit series “Orange is the New Black” as well as “Law & Order”, “Power” and many more.
As an actor, John has also appeared in numerous TV series and feature films, including “Birdman”, “The Normal Heart”, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, “Redrum”, “A Crime to Remember” and others.
Born in Hong Kong studying music and raised in New York studying finance, Ching-Him Ng’s education, culture, and urban backgrounds brings global value to the New York Performing Arts Academy (NYPAA). He is a graduate of the University at Albany (SUNY), where he obtained his Master of Science degree in Forensic Accounting. To hone his professional career in finance, he has worked for multiple Big Four international accounting firms, providing forensic, compliance, risk management, and attestation services for retail, entertainment, and pharmaceutical industries. Furthermore, Ching-Him understands the importance of education — having worked as an educator for Teach for America in Memphis, TN. With his experience in numerous Fortune 100 companies, Ching-Him also serves as the CFO in the board of directors in NYPAA, where his help has ultimately led to allowing for more optimal scholarships for students in need.
In the music industry, Ching-Him is a music producer and songwriter more commonly known under his stage name “sxryn,” where his music can be found on popular streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Google Play. He has performed in various venues across the United States, including at the Brooklyn Music Festival, and Sounds of Brazil. In addition, he has also performed alongside and worked with artists including Serani, Ayo Jay, A$AP, and Driicky Graham. While young, Ching-Him has proven his skillset to many people, in many places, in various industries. He aims to inspire students through his music and actions, conveying that anything can be achieved as long as you work hard, stay humble, and help others.
A Retired Command Sergeant Major – U.S. Army. With over 30 years of experience in fitness training and leadership, A.T. has worked with over 10,000 clients that have won Miss USA, Miss America and American Idol. Thousands have won local, state and national pageant and fitness titles, appeared on Survivor, the Amazing Race, Baywatch and Face Off.A.T.’s clients have graced the pages of Seventeen, Harper’s Bazaar, People, US Weekly and InStyle Magazine. His clientele has modeled for Victoria’s Secret and has been signed with Wilhelmina, NEXT Models, Click and Ford agencies in NYC, L.A. and Miami. As a Command Sergeant Major in the United States Army, A.T. oversaw over 100,000 soldiers implementing new tactics, the Master Fitness Program and specialty training. Trained by the top doctors and Olympians in the world, A.T. garnered peak leadership and health education at UCLA. As such, he was a member of the Barcelona Olympics Training Staff. Having been an, World Record Holder in Power Lifting, A.T. has successfully trained 47 national and world record holders. Transforming a person’s mind is the first step into helping them accomplish their goal. With years of mental toughness training, A.T. utilizes his leadership skills to elevate people to their desired level of success.

Charlie Pasarel served as the Director of the New York Metro areas legendary PMTS International Pasarela for over 26 years until its closing. Charlie is the Director Emeritus of the Future Star Program at NYPAA. Winner of the International Modeling and Talent Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003. Charlie Pasarel has over 30 years experience in the Latin market as promoter, as consultant and manager for various models and talent internationally.
As an actor, Charlie Pasarel has appeared on many commercials, tv-shows, and films. He has and continues to serve as an independent Red Carpet Fashion Correspondent for The Oscars, Miss Universe, The Latin Billboard Awards, Acceso Total and Premiera Edicion on Telemundo 47.
Charlie Pasarel has had many famous celebrities that have studied and graduated under his tutelage including Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Scotty, and Gelena Solano.
Ken Joseph is a graduate of Rider University where he obtained his Bachelors in Science Degree in Management Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management. Shortly after college he landed a job at Columbia Records as an A&R Consultant. He spent years molding his skills while working with Sony Music™ as the Design Coordinator for Creative Media Group and Advertising for all Sony Music’s major artists. Ken has worked on projects for Prince, John Legend, Maroon 5, Whitney Houston, Adele, Babyface, Kanye West, Destiny’s Child and Arrested Development.
Ken is also an Entrepreneur for his own business Blending Enterprises LLC. Overseeing management of Professional Recording Artists, Booking Global concerts and Television casts. He has also contributed in Broadway Productions such as Lion King and Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, TV Productions such as Law and Order and Lincoln heights. Among many other great accomplishments in the Entertainment Industry, Ken has managed and developed the American alternative Southern rap quartet, Nappy Roots, produced a song on the self-titled Destiny’s Child album, and developed and created the Grammy Nominated group City High which also secured #1 Billboard Award and Platinum Record in the UK for their first album. Ken also Co-Produced the Urban musical, “Ephraim’s Song,” winner of four NAACP Theater Awards with Executive producers Bruce Willis and Cedric “The Entertainer which was written and directed by award-winning playwriter and director Mark E. Swinton.
